The hiking and skiing area of Plan de Corones/Kronplatz, part of the Dolomiti Superski association, boasts a wealth of superb sport, nature and cultural highlights.
The Plan de Corones holiday region on the edge of the Dolomites is ideal for sporty but also relaxing holidays. The focus of all activities in all seasons is the 2275 m high local mountain, from which it gets its name.
One of the three villages at the foot of the Plan de Corones is Valdaora/Olang (consisting of Valdaora di Sopra, Valdaora di Mezzo and Valdaora di Sotto as well as Sorafurcia). From here, a cable car, which is only 1.5 km away from our hotel, takes visitors to the summit in a few minutes, where a wonderful 360° panorama awaits them.
In winter, South Tyrol's No. 1 ski mountain beckons with perfectly groomed slopes of all levels of difficulty and the latest lift facilities. The family-friendly ski area is part of Dolomiti Superski, one of the world's largest ski associations, and is therefore also connected to the famous Sellaronda. In addition, the Kronplatz Snowpark offers freestylers and snowboarders plenty of action and fun with various kickers and lines.
Whether you are skiing, snowboarding or snowshoeing in the winter and walking or mountain biking in the summer months, our local mountain has a number of sights in store for you in addition to the countless sporting opportunities: the S. Sebastian mountain chapel, the large Concordia 2000 peace bell, the Lumen museum of mountain photography and the Messner Mountain Museum MMM Corones can all be visited. What could be better than combining nature and culture?
